I've used this recipe for years
Kool-aid Playdoh
2 c. flour
1 c. salt
2 tbsp. cooking oil
4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid*
2 c. water
1 c. salt
2 tbsp. cooking oil
4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid*
2 c. water
Mix all ingredients. Cook over medium heat until mixture forms a ball. Dump onto counter and knead (it will be hot initially). Store in airtight container. It lasts for weeks. Makes enough for 4 children.
*Do not use grape kool-aid unless you would like gray playdoh. Strawberry, cherry, lemonaid (add a little extra yellow food color for deeper yellow tint), lemonlime, berry blue and orange all have nice vibrant colors and fruit scents.

Pumpkin Pie Playdoh
This is my favorite Fall playdoh recipe... It smells delicious and makes a huge amount that lasts a long time if kept in an air tight container. Enjoy!
5 1\2 Cups Flour,
2 Cups Salt,
8 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
3\4 Cup Oil
1 Container (1 1\2 ounces) Pumpkin Pie Spice
Orange Food Coloring
4 Cups Water
Mix all of the ingredients together. Cook and stir over medium heat until all lumps appear and the dough begins to form a ball. Knead the dough until smooth.
